The smell of chalk dust is in the air…

Its that time of year again…I have already been stuck in traffic behind a school bus and unable to find a pencil left on the shelf in a 50 mile radius. That’s right, its back to school time! It seems that no matter how long ago I left my text books behind me, I still feel September marks the beginning of a new year. Well I figured I could still do those traditions that I always liked to do at the beginning of a school year, regardless of my attending classes or not. I have so far stocked my desk with supplies, including binders (I have been trying to find grown up uses for binder and stickers…I sooo miss Lisa Frank!) I had my hair cut and now…its time to buy a new bag! Although now that I no longer have to haul an entire semester worth of books around with me I was drawn to more delicate fabrics and smaller styles…enter my new favorite bag designer: Aya and her Nappa Studio!

Blame it on watching Memoirs of A Geisha one two many times and a love for vintage, one of a kind finds, but I have a new obsession with the clutches from Nappa Studio made from Vintage Kimonos. I love these bags, so elegant and unique they make me glad I am no longer a student and now have no one to yell at me when I splurge on a fabulous and non practical bag just because I want to.

This fall I plan on celebrating the fact that I already have earned my degree and buy myself a clutch as a belated graduation gift. For those of you still in school, I highly recommend you check out the Kimono totes, which are large, roomy, rugged and bright enough to stand out as you strut your stuff across the quad.
